As a Farmina Pet Health Coach, you will use your passion for cats and dogs to inspire pet parents you meet in the field to make the best decisions regarding their pets' health and nutritional needs. As the face of Farmina, this role will build an in-person pet community through activities at independent retail stores, dog parks, and local events to drive a healthy lifestyle while growing sales in your territory. You will work closely with our dedicated follow-up team to ensure that pet parents stay on track with meeting their pet's personal nutritional goals. 

This role works on a Thursday through Monday schedule. 

  • Be the face of Farmina in your territory to all the cats, dogs, and pet parents to build an in-person pet community.
  • Sharing knowledge of pet health and nutrition with retailers and pet parents to drive the adoption of products and services.
  • Drive awareness and participation in our FREE Pet Care Program through the innovative FarminaGenius mobile App that helps pet parents easily monitor the health of their pet.
  • Create personalized feeding plans and product recommendations tailored to each pet.
  • Ensure the proper branding, representation, and availability of Farmina nutritional products and services in your territory (marketing material, shelf displays, etc.)
  • Assist with building key partnerships with select retailers via the Farmina Genius Center program to provide a higher level of service to their customers.

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This includes working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements and compliance. This position will process accounts payable and accounts receivable and manage sales/use compliance.
Our ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in accounting and is familiar with the ERP software package Microsoft Navision. The key responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company and grow in the role promptly in order to be promoted into increased levels of responsibilities in our growing Finance department.

  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct account/cost center and period and book of record.
  • Daily/Weekly processing of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers and general ledger postings.
  • Prepares cash receipt vouchers, bank deposits, and reconciles bank statements as needed
  • Assist with Semi Monthly time and attendance in 3rd party HR and Payroll systems
  • Complete various sales and use tax inputs needed for 3rd Party Sales/Use tax compliance system
  • Assist Accounting Manager with month-end closing duties, reports, and analysis
  • Work on special projects and assignments as needed
  • Strong skills in accounting, reporting, and managing financial records and transactions
  • Strong diligence and the ability to process cyclical accounting transactions in a complete, orderly and accurate fashion.
  • Ability in MS Office especially MS Office Excel
  • Customer Service oriented and the ability to manage time and deadlines
Position Requirements
4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and 3-5 years’ experience as a full charge accountant.
Will consider candidates with other equal levels of education and work experience.

Pay and Benefits
Full-time Pay: $48,000.00-$58,000 per year.

Senior Human Recources Manager (URGENTLY HIRING)

Location: Reidsville, NC

Job Type: Full time (remote initially moving into office once our facility is completed)

Job Descrìption:

The Senior HR Manager will manage the entire spectrum of HR processes and activities, working closely with the CEO as well as the senior managers across the organization. Senior HR Manager responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process, designing company policies and setting objectives for the HR team. You will also help shape our employer brand strategy. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with HR technology, including payroll systems and Applicant Tracking Systems. Ultimately, you will ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees.

  • Perform full life cycle recruitment and enrollment functions including creating requisitions, sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring for positions and other positions as assigned. Effectively use recruitment methods and social media platforms to attract active and passive talent.
  • Support senior managers in organizational planning in order to strengthen overall organizational capability.
  • Counsel and/or mentor employees and managers regarding employee
  • relations issues including performance management, facilitation of
  • formal/informal complaints to resolution, and corrective actions in line with local culture and the business and legal environment.
  • Ensures alignment of HR processes with strategic and operating goals.
  • Drive the HR component of the business strategy through planning,
  • developing, and implementing HR initiatives including benefits programs such as health/vision and dental insurance and 401k.
  • Drive employee engagement and satisfaction through promotion of a positive company culture while balancing employee concerns with all levels of company goals.
  • Ensure effective talent management including recruitment, assessment and development as the organization grows both organically as well as through acquisition. Assist managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and support of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work.
  • Build relationships with community-based organizations (ex. local universities, local professional associations) to establish the company’s presence in the local job market
  • Monitor HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire)
  • Review departmental budgets
  • Organize learning and development programs
  • Support the annual performance and salary reviews as well as the variable pay programs.
  • Responsible for remaining up to date on relevant US, Canadian and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues. Update management on policies/processes.
  • Collaborates with leadership team to complete and implement large scale HR initiatives (i.e., roll out annual programs, new programs/policies, etc.).
  • May need to travel up to 10% of time

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Communication, or Industrial Psychology or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal/State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, Unemployment Insurance Administration, and Worker’s Compensation).
  • Minimum five years of experience as a HR Generalist at a manufacturing plant or distribution center environment
  • Minimum of three years of experience as Human Resources Manager preferred.
  • Ability to work within fast growing environments and to work effectively under pressure.

The individual in this position will report to the VP of Farmina Pet Foods USA and is responsible for a number of specific tasks as outlined below under responsibilities.
