As a Farmina Pet Health Coach, you will use your passion for cats and dogs to inspire pet parents you meet in the field to make the best decisions regarding their pets' health and nutritional needs. As the face of Farmina, this role will build an in-person pet community through activities at independent retail stores, dog parks, and local events to drive a healthy lifestyle while growing sales in your territory. You will work closely with our dedicated follow-up team to ensure that pet parents stay on track with meeting their pet's personal nutritional goals. 

This role works on a Thursday through Monday schedule. 

Responsibilities:
  • Be the face of Farmina in your territory to all the cats, dogs, and pet parents to build an in-person pet community.
  • Sharing knowledge of pet health and nutrition with retailers and pet parents to drive the adoption of products and services.
  • Drive awareness and participation in our FREE Pet Care Program through the innovative FarminaGenius mobile App that helps pet parents easily monitor the health of their pet.
  • Create personalized feeding plans and product recommendations tailored to each pet.
  • Ensure the proper branding, representation, and availability of Farmina nutritional products and services in your territory (marketing material, shelf displays, etc.)
  • Assist with building key partnerships with select retailers via the Farmina Genius Center program to provide a higher level of service to their customers.

Compensation:
  • Base salary  starting at $36,000-$39,000/US

Position Summary: As a Sales Representative, your role would include establishing and maintaining strong long-term client relationships. You will work to expand the Farmina brand throughout your territory. The individual in this position will report to the VP of Farmina Pet Foods USA and is responsible for a number of specific tasks as outlined below under responsibilities.

Responsibilities: Your roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing our retailers in your territory
  • Riding along with distribution reps
  • Visiting retailers ona 6-8 week rotation
  • Managing sales and sales initiatives for retailers
  • Obtaining new accounts
  • Providing merchandising support
  • Training employees
  • Attending trade shows
Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • Capacity to forge and maintain long-term client relations

  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales (preferred in the pet food industry)

Location: North East US based with close proximity to a major US airport

Description:
The ideal candidate will manage and structure the Farmina veterinary channel by creating, nurturing, and maintaining relationships with opinion leaders, vet clinics, and universities for both our Vet Life prescription range of diets and our Natural & Delicious maintenance diets.

The job responsibilities include:
  • Manage/structure the market development and sales for the Farmina North American Veterinary Channel
  • Coordinate the distribution of the Farmina technical/scientific assets including but not limited to product book, white papers, scientific articles, presentations, etc.
  • Develop and deliver seminars and training for key accounts, distributors, veterinarians, and the local Farmina teams
  • Participate in key industry exhibits, seminars, etc.
  • Provide nutritional and technical product support to the North American based Farmina teams.
  • This position will report directly to our North America corporate office in New York City for the US and Canadian market development. US based with the ability to work remotely and expected to travel 3 weeks out of the month.
Requirements:
  • DVM Degree and/or Degree in Animal Nutrition
  • Willing to travel at least 3 weeks out of the month
  • Comfortable speaking in small and large groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Veterinary Sales/Management experience is preferred

Experience:
Previous pet food industry/animal nutrition or Vet pharma experience is preferred
