FARMINA VET RESEARCH
A TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS TO SERVE THE WELFARE OF PETS.
Farmina Pet Foods has a strong collaboration from the chair of Nutrition and Animal Nutrition of the University of Naples Federico II. The tests are developed and conducted by public scientific institutions, to ensure their scientific value and testify to the true effectiveness of the products. This collaboration has allowed Farmina over the years to develop different lines of research, certified by publications of scientific studies in international journals with very high relevance. Our products: Farmina Vet Life "natural diets" and Natural & Delicious have been scientifically tested. The collaboration between Farmina and the University also created Farmina Vet Research, which, in addition to research on the basis of the latest scientific discoveries to create new diets, has developed specific experimental protocols to verify the effectiveness of each diet and improving the organoleptic characteristics of those dietary nutrition products. FVR, in addition, provides, via the use of protocols for long-term research, evaluation of the effects of prolonged administration of the diets.
Among the many activities of the FVR is also sharing scientific knowledge through a magazine: Discuss. Designed as a magazine update for Veterinarians, each issue addresses through a detailed literature review, problems frequently encountered in professional veterinary practice whereby nutritional treatment can play a role in managing diseases, recognising one of the determining factors in successful prophylactic and / or therapeutic management with diet. The second part of each issue describes the methods and results of research conducted by the group FVR according to each specific problem. Discuss, available in multiple languages, is distributed free to veterinarians.
